It was the moment that I heard that my children were going to be home 24/7 that I realised life had changed as I knew it. As a business owner and career girl of 20 years, this had never been in my life plan. But one of the key mantras I have always stuck by and have coached my staff  and clients about is to focus on the elements you can control, and try not to stress about the bits that you can’t. Easier said than done, right?

This time is as a gift. When have you ever in your life had time to reflect, rethink, restructure, and focus on yourself and yourbusiness.  As the dust settles, and we face another few weeks in self isolation and away from our businesses and customers, here are a few ideas that will benefit you and boost your business during lockdown.

Create Content

Spend time creating interesting content that you can use over the coming months, especially when you are back to full time work. This does not need to complicated. Short, 200 -500 word pieces on treatments, staff members, top tips, past events, case studies, are all great content that can be split and reused in social media bursts. Some of you may use media companies to support you. They are as good as the content you provide them. Spend this time creating a library that will promote you and your aesthetic business.

Upskill and Educate

There are so many free and exciting Webinars at the moment, it can feel overwhelming and exhausting. Be selective. Injectable training may not be necessarily that useful at the moment. Seek out business related topics. Social media and financial and business seminars can be really inspiring and uplifting. It can help to recharge your creative juices and make you think differently about what you are doing currently.

Revisit You Paperwork

When was the last time you looked at your consent forms, GDPR policy, FAQs????

So much has changed in the last 3 weeks, let alone months. The situation with COVID19 cannot be avoided and the need to now reference patient travel and exposure may become the norm.  Updating FAQs and refreshing paperwork or websites can only help to boost your business and SEO ratings within google. Be ready for the new future so that you can hit the ground running.

Connect With Your Customers

Just because we are at home and isolated, does not mean that your customers no longer exist. If fact, quite the opposite. As a medical healthcare professional, this is when they need you most. Take time to connect with them. The power of a simple personal telephone call to your key customers, will create a greater bond with you than any marketing campaign.

Take Time to Plan

Why do you go to work every day? What do you really want out of your business?

These last 3 weeks have left many of us with time to reflect and realise what is truly important in our lives. This cannot be a better time to decide what you want from your business and what you want to achieve. Now is the time to get rid of the elements that don’t work, or drain time and resources. Focus on the bits give you enjoyment, profit and that provide you with your dream.
